Our foundations
LEGALITY
Collection, processing and transfer of biospecimens performed by IBS fully meet all requirements of current local and international laws and regulations.
ETHICS
We fully respect and protect the rights and interests of all participants involved in our research projects. Biospecimens are collected and transferred to the biobank only after patients' rights and intended use of biospecimens have been explained to patients and informed consent signed by them.
TRANSPARENCY
The origin of biological material can always be traced back to the clinical center that provided it to the biobank. At the same time we support researchers by only providing associated clinical information required for their study. Patient's personal information is protected and never disclosed.
QUALITY
IBS follows current recommendations of the International Society of Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER Best Practices) and requirements of ISO 9001. We can guarantee that all biospecimens collected from our clinical partners are processed strictly in accordance with quality requirements for the use of standardized laboratory protocols and clinical information management. All procedures are conducted by trained personnel whose qualifications are regularly verified and further developed.
